Royal Norwegian Yacht Club and Half Ton Class Norway look forward to welcoming all sailors for a fantastic week at Hankø. The Hankø Half Ton Classics Cup marks the 40 years reunion of the world championship at Hankø in 1983.
40+ boats are already registered with crews from Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Englandv and Belgium. This bodes well and we are now aiming for as many as 50 1/2 ton boats and more than 250 sailors will be ready for the championship in August.
Since late summer 2020, the 1/2 ton boats have received their well-deserved racing comeback in Norway. Old boats have been brought in from all over the country and collected in Skjeberg. Here many of the boats have been restored by boat builder Martin Kamperhaug and are now in the same or better condition than when they were new. Welcome!
